Anti-Sybil Airdrop Policy — Transparent Rules
Why anti-Sybil matters
An airdrop without Sybil protection is an airdrop diluted by farms. If 1 player can create 1,000 fake accounts and claim 1,000× the allocation, honest players receive 1/1000 of what they should. The math is unforgiving: the entire community loses to one bad actor.
Three things separate a real anti-Sybil policy from a marketing-speak version:
- Specificity
- The rules are stated in concrete numbers (5 profiles, 7 days), not vague terms ("excessive farming will be detected").
- Pre-publication
- The rules are published before snapshot, not invented retroactively to justify exclusions.
- Manual review
- Edge cases (legitimate shared IPs, family accounts, dorm WiFi) get human review, not automatic exclusion.
The four exclusion rules
Rule 1: IP density
More than 5 distinct profiles on the same IP within 7 days of snapshot. This catches the typical multi-account-from-one-machine farm. The 7-day window is intentional: shorter windows miss patient farmers, longer windows trip up legitimate office/dorm networks.
Edge cases:
- Office WiFi with 50 colleagues playing. The "more than 5" threshold gets all 50 flagged. Manual review handles this — submit a list of playerIds via contact@voltagegpu.com.
- VPN users. If you rotate VPN exits, your profiles will look like they're on different IPs. This is fine. The rule applies to distinct profiles on one IP, not one player on multiple IPs.
- Family home with 2-4 players. 5+ profile threshold means up to 4 family members are safe.
Rule 2: Browser fingerprint density
More than 5 distinct profiles sharing the same browser fingerprint (lifetime). The fingerprint includes user-agent, screen size, timezone, plugins, canvas hash, audio hash, and ~15 other signals — designed to identify the same physical machine even across cleared cookies / changed IPs.
Edge cases:
- Browser updates. The fingerprint includes Chrome/Safari major version. An update changes the fingerprint, so old profiles "graduate" naturally.
- Incognito mode. Some fingerprint dimensions normalize in incognito, but enough remain (timezone, screen, canvas) to detect device reuse.
- Anti-fingerprint browsers. Players using anti-fingerprint defenses (Brave Shields, Firefox Resistance) are NOT penalized — the system uses these signals only to merge profiles, not to exclude them.
Rule 3: Last-minute throwaway accounts
Profiles created <24 hours before snapshot with zero paid skins and zero VoltageGPU link. This catches the "snipe at snapshot" farming pattern where someone creates 200 fresh accounts in the last hour, plays one match each, and tries to claim 200 allocations.
How to avoid this exclusion: link a VoltageGPU account or buy any skin (even a $5 one) more than 24h before snapshot. Either signal demonstrates real engagement and exempts you from the throwaway rule.
Rule 4: Mixer / farm wallet patterns
Wallet addresses matching known patterns:
- Funded entirely by Tornado / Wasabi / similar mixers in the last 30 days
- Funded by a single source address that funds 50+ other wallets identically (sybil cluster signature)
- Match published lists of confirmed airdrop-farm wallets from prior projects (e.g. published $HYPE farm wallet lists)
This rule is best-effort — sophisticated farms can evade it. Manual review available.
What's NOT a Sybil violation
| Behavior | Is it Sybil? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Playing on iPhone AND desktop with same playerId | No | Same profile, different devices — clean |
| Playing with friends in a coffee shop (shared WiFi) | No (if <5 friends) | Below the 5-profile IP threshold |
| Switching factions multiple times | No | Faction switches don't create new profiles |
| Using a VPN | No | One player on rotating IPs is fine |
| Funding wallet from Coinbase / Binance | No | Standard CEX off-ramp = legitimate |
| Buying multiple skins on one account | No | Spending on one profile = real engagement |
The manual review process
If you believe your profile was flagged unfairly, email contact@voltagegpu.com with:
- Your playerId (visible in the in-game settings)
- Your Solana wallet address
- A short explanation of why the flag is wrong (e.g., "I share WiFi with 7 housemates")
Review SLA: 72 hours during snapshot week. Outside snapshot windows: 1 week. Manual review can either lift the flag (you're included) or confirm it (with reason).
Why the VoltageGPU link matters
E-E-A-T: who enforces these rules?
Dominance.live is operated by VOLTAGE EI, SIREN 943 808 824 00016, registered in Solaize, France. Founder: Julien Aubry, also founder of VoltageGPU (a confidential AI infrastructure platform on Intel TDX). The legal entity exists, is searchable in the French INPI registry, and has been operational since the VoltageGPU launch.
Anti-Sybil enforcement is run by VoltageGPU compliance, with the founder as the final escalation point. Decisions are logged. The rules above are the rules — they don't change retroactively.
